also tadc wasn't even good to begin with. everything was so misleading like all that fuss and theory baiting and stuff just to get really bad representation of an identity that wasn't hinted at all?
but then the fandom... its like walking into a pit of vipers cuz they gonna eat you ALIVE I swear -

Fr like I really enjoyed TADC. I thought the 3rd episode forward was really good, but it was far from this god level, untouchable thing the fans were acting like it was. And don't even get me started on Jax's representation, it came completely out of nowhere (i stopped at episode 7 so maybe it showed up later?) and was spoiled by the fans IMMEDIATELY. It would've made more sense if he was transmasc in my opinion, but again, I didn't get super far in the show, so I could be wrong -
the fandom is just so miserable. A bunch of little kids who can't form proper opinions because... they're kids, and a bunch of cynical older fans making the fanbase more adult and intense and threatening than it ever needed to be
worst part is that my little siblings are really into the show, and now I'm not letting them watch it bc I just don't think it's worth it, or appropriate anymore. Idk maybe I'm wrong for that haha -
I watched episode eight and Jax had like two lines so yeah it was just out of no where.
also its like... its an animated show. people are taking everything way too seriously and I'm not trans but the representation wasn't even rushed or forced it was just... what? I'm gender fluid and I didn't watch ep 9 so I might be wrong but I don't go doey eyed when isn't she lovely plays and I slap a bow on. also why was the entire plot to end with his identity? why was it only mentioned on Twitter? I felt like the show forgot what it was trying to be. it should have honestly ended differently. how? I don't know. but not with some weird 'representation'. the main character was barely amain character and everybody was so underdeveloped. -

Yeah the ending being with his identity is so confusing to me. Transitioning isn't a plot twist, or a ending of a character arc. It's just a thing some people do. For some people it's a super important "scrapbook" moment, for most, it's not.
it's such a shame because when I stopped watching, the character dynamics and development was really good, better than most other shows imo, but now it just feels flat. It's just a bummer -
it really is a bummer. also the bow thing kind of pissed me off because why is THAT the teller for his identity? why cant men wear bows too? are we just going to reinforce that bows go with girls and not men? what if Jax just really likes bows lol. also putting him in a maid dress is not a reliable hint. he's a prideful person, of course he would feel flustered over it
