the feminine stereotypes are so hilarious to me😠i literally thought the bow was an edited fandom thing to make him look more feminine, not an ACTUAL canon thing
i would argue the maid dress made it feel more like he's a transman because of how legitimately pissed off he was when he wore it -
and now his s---ty representation has given transphobes another opportunity to be s---ty people. Yay.

its honestly such shame because I think if they actual incorporated that into the show it could work??
but also the show wasn't about gender identity and like you said transitioning is just something people do. its not really this big cataclysmic escalation to a series when a character that isn't even the main character is trans..
I also feel like it was used to shield him from the consequences of his genuinely crappy actions. it felt crammed in to generate pitty.
and he's terribly misogynistic, is one of the main arguments for why him being trans doesn't make sense right now but that has a few problems... truth is trans people CAN be misogynistic, but I think the more HARMFUL part is how he harasses the female cast and sneaks into their rooms, giving transphobes validation because for some reason they're hyperfixated on the fact that maybe trans people just want to use the prefered bathroom? and not harrass the other people using that bathroom?
like, hat I mean is when transphobes claim that a trans women only wants to use the women's restroom and be trans to peak on and harass women. its a harmful image that the show reinforces,, intentional or not. which is upsetting. -
fr, the show wasn't about trans identity. A character coming out COULD work, in theory, but it's not a big event the show should make it's climax
He's such a s---ty character, and that's part of his charm. I honestly really liked his character, and thought he could redeem himself, but not like this. His actions were inexcusable, and going "no it's ok, I'm one of the girls!" doesn't make it any better
I feel really bad for calling out how bad the representation is since Gooseworx is trans, and claims that Jax was a representation/foil for her, but wow, I just don't think it should have been a big climaxing moment, especially since it had absolutely no foreshadowing or buildup to it -
