Hi, I started spotting October 21st, 2020, and was wondering how you tell spotting from your period. There was a small amount of blood in my underwear, and once I told my mom, she gave me a pad. When I woke up the next day, there was obviously blood. I spotted from 10-21-20 to 10-27-20, so you know how long it lasted. It was pretty steady, but not like gushing blood. There was just enough blood to show through my underwear, and I had to hide them from my little..... Please reply if you have any ideas... I am 12 and have never had a period

If you're bleeding steadily for that long, I'd say you've probably started your period.
