Maddy smiled. "That's good," she replied. The teacher glared at her from their desk. -
Akira watched as the teacher went on with a lesson.

Maddy tried to pay attention to the teacher's lesson on American history. She found herself occasionally glancing over at Akira from time to time in breaks of the lecture.

Akira found himself doing the same, and it was really hard to really comprehend much of what the teacher was talking about.

Maddy caught Akira glancing at her and smiled. (tornado watch/warning in my area... so if i disappear you know why)
