I got two new sheets of music filled with scales and audition peices for all state, and I was so happy about it. It's not required to audition. Anyone that was interested was handed those sheets, and auditions are in late September, I think September 23rd. It's a Friday. What's ironic is the audition fee is $5, and I have $5 in my case. Maybe I'm destined to audition. :'D

You get to play with people in your district if you make it and play level four music.

Taylor is section leader, so I played it with them. It has a lot of high notes, so you have to have amazing tone.

During marching band practice, the fire alarm went off. It was just a practice drill. The marching band instructor went to the piano and tried to figure out what key the alarm was going off in. She settled on between E and F. She screamed THE ALARM IS OUT OF TUNE. Aaliyah's mom tried to copy the alarm and yelled EEEEeeeEEEEeeeEEEE. Aaliyah unplugged the piano after that, and the director screamed.

Also, also alsooo- There's an AR party every nine weeks, and you need at least 20 points to go. You get to go to bowling and cool trips like that. You get to miss school, and it doesn't count as an absence. You get the points by reading books, and they have to be in your reading level. I'm 9th grade plus. You get more points if the book is thick or requires a large vocabulary to understand it. You take tests, and you get the points depending on how many questions you answered correctly. I HAVE 19.5 POINTS.
