Yeah in taverns you can spend gold for a limited amount of travel/stamina points. It's a tiny ammount of gold.
I think our goal should be to vassalise france and Germany. -

Why would we move beyond holland? We only have like 5. Shouldn't stretch too thin.

Because Russia has resources and Saudi Arabia is rich.
