OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU. ahem... yes I love the monster hunter as well. but noh. best weapons to me have got to be the ordinary lance and sword. lance has superior guard and charge and sword has a good dodging range. but hey dats just me. *shrugs*

heavy bowgun? DUDE THAT THING IS SLOW AS F--- I tried to fight a narcuga with it and I died three times in the first three minutes. It's only ever useful on a basarios and gravios, but then again I still use an ordinary bow for them. (except pleslioth at level g, then it's the only way) And gunlance has very low hit range and I only tried to use it in the first four quests. couldn't even kill a giadrome with it. >:/
