Not entirely. Gender is how you identify. Sex is how you're born. That's how doctors treat it, anyways. I mean if you want to argue with people with medical licenses that's fine by me.

Let me break this down for you
Social- of or relating to society or its organization
Construct- To build
So it's something that society created. That's similar to the idea of gender roles, no? If society created the idea of gender, than it likely has roles for those genders.
These gender roles are the societal norms perceived with such a gender, and I find them unnecessary.
Not to say that things such as gender identity disorder don't exist, and that some people aren't born in the right body. But I don't believe, for my personal choice, in identifying as one or the other.
