HelloTalk is an app that helps you connect wit people who are native speakers and or are high levelled French speakers. You can teach them English (or whatever) and they can teach you French.
We use it in Spanish class. -
I use duolingo

HelloTalk doesn't work on my phone so I use tandem.

The only reason I don't use duolingo
Or the reasons, I don't use duolingo are
They don't teach you grammar
And they don't help you memorize words much
It's a great supplement tool, though. -

But I prefer to learn my own way. I've tried following an online course before and I loosely followed it. -
I would obviously recommend courses for those who are new to learning, but for those who have learned a language up to an intermediate level before using a course- it isn't necessary.
