Her tone sounded grouchy and aggrivated. She may have been tired or couldn't sleep. It was nearly pitch black in the room.

She didn't even notice that she said "she" and not "he". There was a small lamp, and there was just enough light to see my face. She knew that it angered me a bit, but she just walked past me like nothing happened.

That explains it. She was talking without thinking. We all do it. You may do it and you never realize it. Ya know why? Because your not thinking! I'd excuse her for her slip if I were you. She probably had her mind occupied on other things and accidentally slipped.
