She's trying to understand and said that if I want to go through with it, to go through with it. She brought up my age and doesn't seem to understand completely. I have to be patient.

I've been in your shoes so I know it's a very tricky subject to explain to parents, but as long as she's willing to try to understand, it should be a little easier
