Every dragon has its own special mating call to attract another dragon of its kind. -
Your job is to ensure that the dragon who is with you dragon is its real mate and not a pretender

To ensure this, you must watch how the two dragons react to each other. If they are just playing together and not looking at each other very much, they probably aren't the right fit for a mate.
