The bed intruder song is actually about this attempted rape that occured, and the victims brother was like:

HIDE YO KIDS
HIDE YO WIFE
CAUSE HE'S SNATCHING ALL YO PEOPLE UP -
it could be either. i forget. :P
damn disney, you were really pushing the envelope on this one, weren't ya? and the fact there was actual blood and a SHOTGUN in this made it even more realistic. disney was much more serious about this movie that many of their other ones from what it seems. -
So I read. I have to listen to the song sometime, since the lyrics are humorous. :P

Yeah, especially how devastated Kala and Kerchak were when Sabor murdered their previous baby during "Two Worlds". -
yeah. i actually heard that some people didn't like the songs chosen for the movie that were sung by Phil Collins. are you serious? the songs were great and felt like they naturally fitted into the setting and/or environment basically perfectly. some people will b---- about the most ridiculous stuff some times.

Yes, his songs actually moved the movie along without Tarzan being too Broadway-like. And to this day I STILL know all the film songs by heart. I'm no fan of Phil Collins, but his songs in Tarzan are cool and catchy.
