So I sparked this plot when I was thinking about a world where only certain Internet content is available to a person, but different content might be available for another. So every one has a random, limited amount of wireless content.
This made me spark the thought of what if it were that way in real life. What if you could see someone and be completely unsure if they see you. What if I built a society where people's perseption of others was limited to a particular amount and everyone could only acknowledge the people their brains are wired to see.
Then an ultimate plot revealed itself to me.
So what if there is a society of people who live there lives wearing lights so that they can be sure others know they are there, but don't have the faintest clue who does and who doesn't, they only know what they see. At a certain point of maturity, they take a test where scientist moderate how deep their perseption is (for some gov. experiment that the society is unaware of).
Then my divergent side got out and I decided to base the storyline around a girl with and extremely large perseption.
Does this make any sense? -
Oh, and the girl loves this boy who can't see her so it's sort of a disofunction-tragedy
-
Yeah, that sounds cool to me.

Thanks, I might start writing when I leave for southern California in a few days.
