Alex. What kind of music do you like? One Direction does have some songs that are like edgy pop and pop rock. They also have some songs that are kind of like songs that OneRepublic would make.
A perfect edgy pop song example would be "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?".
A perfect example of a song that I think you would love is "Fireproof".
