Origin is a digital gaming service and store, so it's more than likely safe. If you have the Sims 3, and a registered account (registration is free) that your game code is connected to, you can just download the game from the Origin launcher. -

Does downloading Origin come with Sims?

I only have Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets. Got bored of it quickly..xc

Once Origin is downloaded, open it (the launcher), search for the Sims 3 and you can download it. You'll just need the code from the booklet in the game case and register it with an Origin account.

I want some of the expansions for Sims 3.
Oh and Bunz, once you open Origin, go to 'My Games'. It'll tell you what games you have registered. -
