I never was really a very assertive person. I kept my opinions to myself. This site is what changed me, though it was a slow process.
Even when I was dating Alex, I didn't say anything to that girl who had a crush on him and was totally f---ing clingy. I cared, I hated her and wanted her to back off a bit, but I said nothing.
I didn't get involved with debates in the classroom. I didn't talk to anyone but Anastasia, even though she treated me like s---. I took the bullying without a word.
I discovered my opinions on here. Found my sexuality, my love for scripting. Made a couple friends. Learned that it was okay to be mad, okay to disagree.
I wouldn't have done any of that without this place. I would still be a doormat... And my grammar would suck ass. -
