  Half my essay that was due last week disappeared and I
  
  I cannot fail this class. If I fail this class, I have to retake it next year, which means I'll get cut out of the writing and grammar class. And that class is a requirement for all three of the colleges I want to go to.

  IT WAS ON A FLASH DRIVE AND HALF OF MY SEVEN PAGES IS GONE I'M CRYING HE WONT ACCEPT ANYTHING BUT ALL OF IT AND I HAVE TO EMAIL IT WITHIN TEN MINUTES AND I CAN'T TAKE A ZERO THIS IS THIRTY PERCENT OF MY GRADE

  You only had it on a flash drive?
  
  Try going through the history of the drive and see if anything deleted is in there.

  Andi. Calm down and go look through the files. Try seeing if there's an undo button that you can access. See if there's a revision history. Something.
