A sprite. You know, like this. The image that shows up to express the character's mood when they're speaking in a game. But I guess you could say character portrait. And thanks.

I've always referred to that as a character portrait. A sprite is what represents a character in gameplay if the game doesn't use character models.

Right. Dangan Ronpa doesn't have character models in the first or second game. And Cecile is an OC for the first game. :P
