Thread Topic: That f---ing b------.

After I got home from a great day at school (f---ing miracle) this guy shows up. He says he has some asphalt left over from his job. My mom gets my dad to come talk t him and they bargain and work out a deal. Something to do with $1200 from what I heard. Well, this already had me freaking the f--- out so I ran into my room and blasted Slipknot through my earbuds while doing my homework.
See, we can't throw around a thousand dollars in my family. We most certainly aren't dirt poor but none of my family members are actually employed. I worry about financial s--- all the time and I could already tell we were screwed. Apart from that, I can't cope withe even the smallest change. The whole reason this guy offered this to us is because we have this big gravel drive way that breaks off from our main driveway and leads to the shop. I've lived with this my entire f---ing life. I grew up with the gravel. I'd always walked on it, collected any different looking rocks from it, just generally enjoyed it. I've stopped in the past year after I got access to the Internet, but it still pains me to think of letting go of something I've always known.
Not to mention that all of it seemed pretty shifty. I stayed in my room for about thirty minutes and tried to occupy myself enough to forget any of my surroundings. After I took my earbuds out I heard shouting between my mom and dad. I waited until they shut up and asked my mom what went wrong.
Apparently what had started out as $1200 somehow turned into $2500. I personally think spending this much money to fix something at isn't broken is a dumbf--- move. Well, to add to at, dad was mad because she had supposedly not listened? He swears he told her not to give the guy the check until he finished but I don't believe that. Dad lies about what he has and hasn't said or done all the time. Anyways, after mom gave him the check he got in one of his trucks and left to cash it. He clearly had no intention of finishing it.
This pisses me off to absolutely no end. What kind of a low lying filthy b------ would go to someone's home of twenty years (my parents and siblings have been here for twenty years) and takes money that wasn't agreed upon, leaving a job half done and looking terrible? He ruined my f---ing home with his bulls--- services!
Honestly, I'm glad I'm not an adult and I don't own this house. You know why? He left one of his trucks here. If I owned this place, his tires would be blown out and his windshield would be destroyed. Yeah, so much for a great day. -
Was the guy a con artist? Sounds like he is.
-
scarlet4ever NewbieWhat kind of fraudster is that. Sorry about that. People are just too cruel it's actually astonishing
-
s---, I'm sorry. Can't you call the police?
-
scarlet4ever NewbieWell, HAVE you called th police? The guy's a criminal
-
I dunno man.
Yeah.
I don't think we'll be doing that. He just showed up again and now he swears he only agreed to do whatever asphalt he had in that one truck. I think my dad's gonna pay extra for the rest. I don't know. I'm really confused at the moment. -
That's so much bulls---.
-
On my part or his part?
-
Adults are very bad at handling money.
-
scarlet4ever NewbieYeaah
-
They are. Again, I'd rather not fix what isn't broken.
Alright alright, I think I'm clear one what's really happening now. The guy is saying that he won't have enough to finish it but he will let my mom rewrite the check for $500 less. Next time I want to slit someone's throat, I'll keep it off the Internet. Sorry.
