Tess Gillett NoviceOk, so here's the jist. We did fitnessgram in gym the other day and i nailed it at 80 sit-ups and push-ups. I was pretty proud of myself and felt really great about it.....But, there were after affects; my arms are sore as hell. Its not like a softie sore, its legitiment barely can move my arms sore. Seriously, it took me almost 5 minutes to put my shirt on this morning. It was agony, and still is. So here is the question, do any of you know anything that could help my arms? Im not gonna go to the store, so do you know any home remedies? You'll be helping me a lot. Thanks

Tess Gillett NoviceJust trying to get this thread in view so...yeah :)
-
flounder101 NewbieI dont know any actual remedies but i always find having a hot bath or holding a hot water bottle against your arms helps as it relaxes the muscles in your arms and im guessing its your muscles that are making your arms ache
-
flounder101 NewbieAlthough that sometimes makes me need a nap but its a heck of a lot better than what you are feeling right now trust meh
-
Tess Gillett NoviceThats what i thought as well; the muscle thing. But yes, thank you for the suggestion. I will definately try it.

flounder101 NewbieYour welcome. I hope it works. It usually does for me. Its horrible when you feel like that.
-
Tess Gillett NoviceI know right? I cant even rest my head on my hand. The slightest bend in my arm is excruciating. Do you know how long sores like this may last? ;-;
-
flounder101 NewbieThe longest i have had a pain like that was 2 days. Hope it goes away soon for you though like you said its excruciating.
-
Tess Gillett NoviceYeah, thank you. ^-^

Just rest and be careful how you move (move slowly etc) it will get better in a few days, I don't know what would speed it.
In future tell your teacher you need to do warm ups and not push yourself...not a suitable teacher if they don't know that. -
It'll start to fade throughout the week. Just stretch it. And stretch after every workout that you do, so you won't be as sore.
