I looked ahead and saw a girl with big brown eyes and long purple hair. She looked about my age, and she wore boy's clothes. The girl smiled upon seeing me approach.

"They said you'd be here! Hello, I'm--"

"Daniella, right? " I asked. 'At first, I thought they said Daniel. " I smiled slightly.

The girl did not smile back. Instead, she stomped her foot on the ground. "I'm a boy!! My name is Daniel!!"

"O-of course," was my immediate response. I couldn't tell from her voice, as we were both only children.

Daniel smiled again and chuckled. "It's okay! I'm teasing. People mistake me for a girl all the time."

I felt my cheeks warm a bit. For a boy?! I shook my head and faced him with a nervous smile. "Um, we should go find the last guy. Erm..." I racked mt brain for the name. "A boy named Ezra."
