I'm not going to submit it, but it should be hilarious as I'm not even sure what Dangan Ronpa is. -
Name: Yasuke Bretteur

Title: Super High School Level Pirate
Appearance: Yasuke is a generally tall and slim man for his age. He has ivory/pale-ish skin and golden hazel eyes. His hair is long, blonde and put into a straight ponytail that hangs down. The band that holds his ponytail is two bands sewed together and stuck with a red jewel. He has slight stubble on his chin. He wears a grey sweater with the sleeves of a red coat buttoned to the shoulders of the sweater, a leather belt, burgundy tights, black combat boots, black fingerless gloves and a chain necklace with the center of the necklace being somewhat a circle with a cross in it, probably indicating that he is Catholic or Christian, somewhere along those lines.
Personality: Yasuke shows a front of masculinity, ferociousness and rowdiness. He claims that this was the way a pirate was taught to act. Sometimes he is dumb, both out of intentions to "not seem like a nerd" and actual stupidity. But deep down, Yasuke is very shy, which is why he doesn't have many friends, but he says the reasoning is because "A pirate trusts nobody but his crew".
He is an actual gentlemen towards ladies and treats them with much more care than he would a man. He believes that ladies are more genteel and special, which is why he is so nice to them.
Despite his low IQ, Yasuke is very observant, and he likes to conform to his surroundings and then not change them. Change is one of the things he hates the most.
History: Yasuke was born in a small cottage in Southeastern Canada (near Montreal), to his parents Ayako and Samuel Bretteur. His mother, Ayako, was traveling to Canada for schooling to learn French, and his father, Samuel had a dream of becoming a pirate. When Samuel's dream turned into reality, he grabbed a couple of his friends to help rebuild an old wooden ship they bought from pawn. Ayako was tempted to stay at home and raise Yasuke by herself, but Samuel begged her into going with him. Afraid to leave her child behind, Ayako took Yasuke with her on the pirate ship, and they left their Canadian lifestyle to travel the seas.
Samuel named his ship "S.S. Phantome". Their crew consisted of Samuel, Ayako, Yasuke and Samuel's friends. The ship began sailing the seas. A couple of scratches made the ship wither with age, but there was no major damage caused. Along the way, in many different stops, the crew expanded and a bunch of people from different places joined them.
When Yasuke was old enough to recognize his surroundings, walk, talk and do some things by himself, his father and mother were both killed in a war with another pirate ship that they had been rivaling with. Fortunately, he was saved and hiding until the war was over, and the rival ship was sunk. Although he didn't go unharmed - some people from the opposing ship made it onto Phantome and managed to scratch up his eye, thus blinding him (and leaving a couple of other scratches which would turn up as scars in the future) before he could make it to safety. The war, though, caused Yasuke permanent mental scarring, since he witnessed his parents' deaths right before his eyes.
Since the captain of the ship (a.k.a. Samuel) was murdered, this left his only son to be the captain. But Yasuke was only 5, and he said that he was "too scared to be the leader". So, Samuel's closest friend, Michael became the captain. He trained Yasuke to become a killing machine and gave him a sword to practice with, starting at the age of 6. Since then, Yasuke was an absolute expert by the time he was a teenager, and then he began trying to defend the ship from any opposes.
Suddenly, a leak in the ship made Phantome in danger. It began to sink. Everybody was swimming for their lives when the ship sank to the bottom of the water. They were close enough to make out some land, and they all tried to swim to that land. Yasuke then discovered a Japanese cruise ship sailing by, and he began screaming for help.
By the time that they saved Yasuke, everybody else was left behind and drowned. They took Yasuke to Japan, where he made the cover of a news article and asked to explain his story when the Japanese cruise ship landed him safely.
This caught the attention of Hope's Peak Academy, who then attempted to recruit him. At first, Yasuke denied the request and said that he needed to find a home and get his life stable again. The school then obligated Yasuke to join, saying that they have dorms and all sorts of food and care for him to have. He then accepted the request.
After passing out like the other students, he made his way to a classroom and met up with the other students. And when Monomi showed up, that's where his Island Life of Mutual Killing all began.
Extra Information:
- Yasuke is petrified of the paranormal, although still believes in their existence
- Yasuke is extremely skillful with flexibility and the usage of swords. This led to a friendly acquaintanceship with Peko Pekoyama.
- Yasuke loves spicy foods. His favorite food of all time is spicy tuna hand rolls.
- Yasuke has a slight crush on Mahiru Koizumi, and often stutters when he talks to her. -
