Yes, because hanging out with someone of the opposite gender is considered a crime. (That was sarcasm). Why can't parents let their children be friends with who they want to be friends with? I mean, I can understand if those people are drinking or doing drugs or something like that, but if they're not, then why keep them from making friends?

IKR! It bugs me!! I walk home with him and I've even gone to get ice cream with him and hus friends,yet it cant be the two of us?!

I'm with you, but the only advice that I can give right now is that you talk to him as much as you can, and try to make other friends.
