You said this with such confidence and fluidity that, if I had been a fool, I would gladly have accepted this. However, I'm no longer a fool, a toy, and you are no longer opaque. Ten years had we been wed, and I knew you thoroughly. I knew the smooth way in which you spoke, and I knew the way you lied. I could see it in your heartless green eyes, those haunting eyes which mocked me so. No more would I allow this game to be played.
