I usually only wear Converse, though, and where I shop they're all put together. I don't like the sparkly ones with two or three tongues, though. -

I don't think the problem is that they're aimed at girls. It's perfectly fine to market something toward an audience. I think the problem is that we encourage boys that there's something wrong with them if they're interested in them as well.

And it's not a problem that pink and purple are marketed toward girls, but rather that that those are two of the few colors actually set up as being "for girls."
