I feel this pain *pats*
-
I WANT TO DO ILLUSTRATIONS
BUT I ALSO WANNA DO THE DESIGN THING AND CONCEPT ART -
Concept art is actually such a painful industry tho
you don't just draw one thing, you draw like 50 things and like 46 get rejected for one thing.
Do lots of research on the industry you're looking into. -
Getting in isn't so easy either depending on the school and your grades and your school history and also your skills. :P
-
Oooh ;w; CRIES I must do a lot of research and this also motivates me to practice moore
-
A lot of schools have different criteria too, so try to ask alumni for tips on what to put in your portfolio n stuff
for example, when I wanted to go to this prestigous art school here, my friend's older sister graduated from there so i asked what to do
the portfolio requirements was to have a unified theme in every piece, and my art teacher never told me that so I could have been really f---ed there
I'll disagree with AP for this, it seems harder than it actually is. I honestly thought that I was too s---ty to get into the school I was talking about, but turns out there are artists that have graduated from there that are lower skilled than I was.
It's all about meeting requirements, art schools want to know your potential rather than "ooh i'm already SO good at everything please let me in" -
In short
research is rad, and Shido I wouldn't worry too much about meeting skill requirements for art school
Your art is fantastic and you have so much going for you. -
Anything could happen. xD You can get rejected to ALL of the schools and become a failure, no matter how good you are. :3

Hm, i'd def need to do that. I shall save the notes with me o/
