My step dad never tells us what it was like for him in the army. My guess is he's seen stuff that people just don't talk about.

Well, my dad wasn't able to do very much, he did travel halfway around the world and back three times on a submarine, but a lot of his time was spent traveling the country during training. As interesting as his navy stories are, though, I rather listen to his stories about when he was a logger. He went through some hard s--- as a kid and teenager.

Yeah, the thought of people shooting at me with guns and over fifty people thinking of me as just a target and having no problem taking me out in one shot seems pretty terrifying.
