I honestly don't think he's making fun of mental illness just to make fun of it. You're the fool that gets mad therefore he's successfully trolling you. The more upset you get and the more you retaliate, the stronger the troll becomes.

Well yeah I agree with that, I understand that they're laughing at the reactions of the people trying to defend the people with mental illness / people committing suicide.

4chan has taken down government websites, traced down killers from nothing but videos they've posted, captured pedophiles, fought (effectively unlike tumblr) against sexual abuse, and made oprah say 9,000 penises. They are not fools.
Yes, it is stupid. The entire idea of killing yourself is the dumbest idea ever and is highly mockable. But when somebody kills themselves because of pixels on screen which are there because somebody who could be halfway across the world made them like that? That is stupidity of the highest order.
