I hate mechanical pencils. They always break Led and manage to bounce off the wall, of a teachers foot, a student's eyes, and back on the floor.

Mechanical pencils are nice for drawing xP because of the thin lines.
Good for lineart
Not much for sketches though

Thin lines aren't much interesting. Everybody loves big.

A lot of people prefer thin. Since a lot of anime styles consist of thin lines. It's the opposite more of.
Plus thin lines are easier when your adding detail.
I mostly like styles with thick outlines and then thin lines inside.
