I see what you mean... my mum and dad broke up when I was a baby, and he works every third weekend, but sometimes I don't see him for like five weeks because of his work. I go there, but it goes extremely quick, and the next I know, im back at mums. I also use to cry at night because I miss dad.

My dad died when I was kid also. Fathers days still alright though ;) I take my nephew to the steak house and pretend hes my son Instant steak
