Well, that's fair enough. I can respect a person who studies and wants to better themselves.
Have you ever considered not being the responsible one though? Just a crazy thought here, what if you weren't responsible, and your peers had to face the consequences of their actions?
Of course, you may already do this, I don't know the details, but that's what I would do in a similar situation. -
