Today in math class Mr. McManus was letting us joke around for a few minutes. We were jamming along to his favorite tunes and eating suckers and stuff - since it was almost Friday and he wanted us to relax.
Then when he told everyone to finish up so we can begin the lesson. We listened - most of us. Kyle beside me merely flung a pencil at Mr. McManus, Alexis kept dancing, Lillie threw her bookbag around, and Charlie kept texting on her phone. Brianna told me something and I giggled.
Mr. McManus turned from the whiteboard and looked me straight in the eye. "I want to see you after class."
And I went to him after class and he handed me a detention slip.
For giggling.
While everybody else was doing their own stuff.
"Madison, come see me after class so I can give you a detention slip for giggling. I can see what the other students are doing but only care about what you're doing because those students are my favorite and you pretty much such."

Well at least that's what I'd do. My dad wouldn't make me go for such a ridiculous reason anyway. -
My parents always make me go to detention no matter what because they say I need to "serve my punishment".

They won't. I got a detention for a stupid reason before and they didn't listen.
What, do people in Holland have high school?
