Maru:You ready? You ready? I finally got around to thinking out the native language for demons. (my demon characters anyway; obviously, I can't expect anyone to adhere to my concept for it) -

Maru: Yay~ Okay, this is how I wrote it in y little handbook:
Language
Called "Shinesque". Shin= true (Japanese)
Started with a compilation mostly of words from several different languages. (some words taken from the Russian language, some from Chinese, some from English, some from Russian... so on..) Some words are completely original and belong only to the demonic language.
The language changes a bit from generation to generation- individuals/families/packs/regions alter it by developing accents, changing pronunciations, creating new words, or switching the languages used for certain terms. This is a natural progression much like the integration of slang words and can be affected by environment, heritage, social surroundings, and more.
An example of the changes that occur within the language would be a she-demon who uses the word "sorrow". Over time, she may find that when speaking in Shinesque, sentences flow more smoothly when she says "sao" instead. This is something she would adapt into her language, and something her children would then pick up from her and carry on.
As such, some families/packs/regions can be identified by their version of the language, similar to the identification of southerners or anyone else based on their accent.
Shinesque is often confused for gibberish. Because of it's complexity and ever-changing nature, it's next to impossible to translate without the aid of a demon, and would take years of study to learn without paying mind to the alterations constantly being made.
Due to the odd mixture of cultures which compile the language, it cannot be written. -
