Her Majesty
You are the queen of the world
The fiercest warrior on the battlefield
The waves of the ocean roar forward to attack,
Only to roll back to their home in retreat
The breeze whispers your name
Quietly cheering
The wind shouts it
An encouraging victory call
You are untouchable
But on the days when it's hard to run your kingdom
Or you're not your strongest on the battlefield
You come home.
You take off your crown
Your armor
Your barrier
You tell yourself:
"I am a warrior, and I did not fight well today.
But tomorrow,
I will be untouchable."
And you prepare for the countless victories of tomorrow. -

We are nothing but raindrops
Racing down the car window you look out of
We reflect the world around us
The crimsons, ambers, and intoxicating greens of stoplights
The soft white from some ceiling light
In some apartment on the third floor of an old brick building
Where some lonely human contemplates
Awake past all the rest
We reflect the brightest of lights
Distort them to their greatest potential of ultimate beauty
However
If we
The dozens of raindrops rolling toward the end
Reflected you
There would be no distortion
We could do nothing to change or increase
Because you
The girl looking out the car window
You are already your greatest potential of ultimate beauty
Never think anything different. -
