Just be like "Uhm, I seen this phone card lying on a desk, and I wanted to know who this belonged to before I threw it away or gave it back.".
Then, possibly enter casual conversation. -

Tell him your name, he tells you his name, you joke about the card, he thinks it's ironic, and then you're both conversating.
OR, if he's not the one (he doesn't find you in that way), he'll say thanks, you throw it away or some-thing, and you become regular friends.
If he's a jerk, screw it. -
Can someone give me an example of casual conversation? Cause i suck at that.
