the next day
Vesper sauntered to school, Bethy close beside her. Gossip filled the playground. There were hisses of "did you hear?","I can't believe it." and "Who would do that?" -
'Think something happened?' Vesper asked.

paige woke up and got ready for her day

Bethy was in disguise, that was acually pretty believable. She heard the whispers, and immediatly knew the myserious person had struck. "Definatly."
This is what Bethy looks like in disguiise, only she's also wearing a detective hat:

They listened for any details. 'Did you hear what happened to Shirley?' someone asked. -
"Who's Shirley?" Bethy asked, getting out a small notepad.

'Only the most popular girl in school!' the boy replied. 'A total b----.' she mumbled. Then Vesper remembered 'What happened?' The boy had a grim look on his face 'She got impaled on a weathervane.' he frowned

Bethy was writing down all this information on the notepad. "Where did this happen? Does anyone know what happened? Where did she live? Is there a way to contact her parents?"
