There was a bandit raid on a village. Most villagers were missing. Twist: All the bandits were vampires. The villagers, along with other humans, were held captive. Some were trained then killed, others trained and turned. Those that weren't trained, were used for hunting exercises or were killed on spot. One of the trainees, bound for death, escaped. They were one of the strongest humans. Too strong. They helped others escape over time and formed an army. A trainee, about to be turned, was sent to infiltrate the 'clan'. From there, improvise people!
