I won one of the spaces on "Scholar of the Year", and since that was picked by a teacher I'm not really going to argue about that. It was kinda cool too, we get to add some of our personal info in there to have others know a bit more about us.
But I also won "Most Likely to Succeed" and though it's really flattering, I'm bothered.. It's only supposed to be one girl, one boy. Henry was the boy, and for the girl it was Dasha and I..
I really feel like I didn't earn it and maybe giving me the spot with Dasha was done out of pity. Everyone loves Dasha so of course she won that one fair and square. The majority of everyone hates me, and then you know.. I'm Mexican. Since everyone is really prejudice despite being a mainly Latino school, of course they're picking the Russian for that. I'm guessing the voting must have been pretty close so they just gave me the spot.. So I don't understand why I was there with them too..
I really feel horrible and that I don't deserve it. Sure, I've worked my ass off but at the same time, Dasha's the Russian. >_>
I think I'll talk about it to Mr. Garcia tomorrow, since he's really honest about things and whatever can be done will be told. Or any truths. -

Alice, you are the one most likely to succeed. Why? Because you're awesome. You are smart, have multiple gifts, and are a good person overall. ;3; I don't want to hear garbage that Dasha deserves it more because she's Russian. What your born doesn't mean s---, you've worked hard and made yourself who you are today.
I'm not blind. I'm basically an adult now and I can see the kind of people that are in this world, and you guys truly are above all the greatest. You're awesome, Alice. You will be successful at whatever you do. *huggles* -

Thinking about how society really tends to be though, it's really a downer for me to be thinking about that. But I'm glad people like you are still around, at least that have the idea that things aren't defined by race. You made me feel a bit better about this, thank you. -
