Ashley, you have to put a certain amount of syllables for each line. -
A Haiku is a Japanese poem. There are 3 non-rhyming lines in the Haiku. The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables. The third line has 5 syllables. Here in an example:
Spring
Spring is so lovely,
with it's beautiful flowers,
and it's shining sun.
