I walked through the doors to my new school. Kids were chatting and laughing. Not many noticed me but I like it like that. I'm always stuttering in front of people, so yeah. I walked to the main office but I felt a pair of eyes on me the whole time.

"I heard we're getting a new student!" Exclaimed Casey. My friend, Mike, looked interested. "Is it a she? Cause we really need some more attractive girls here." At that comment, Nikki hit Mike really hard in the stomach, "Boys are such idiots that they only care about how girls look." "Ouch, man!" Mike rubbed his stomach. Nikki rolled her eyes and slammed her locker closed and walked to homeroom with Casey. "Explain to me why we're friends with Nik?" Mike asked, still rubbing his stomach. I shrugged looking at the door. Then she came. She was really pretty and kinda cute.

I didn't even think, but I jumped up, knocking over my chair, and said, "I'm Sammy Balk." Mr. Brown gave us three looks and told us it was Cassidy's time.

"Sorry about that interruption. So, where are you from, Cassidy?" Mr. Brown asked me. I gulped. "Pro-Pr-Provi-vidence, Rho-Rhode I-Island."
