I do that, too. But I mostly call people "Little one" or "Little Gaint." The first one is for people who are shorter than me, which is a lot, and the second one is for people who are taller than me, which is about half as much as people shorter than me.

Yeah, it's my thing at school, that and Bookworm and NeonGirl. It started becoming a quirk after I started hanging out with a girl who's usually the shortest girl in the class. She's okay with the name, though.
