"Jesus christ you'd think a pregnant lady wouldn't get ran into!" I say laughing and getting up. "Look kid, you shouldn't be out here right now. It's way too f---ed up out here right now. Get back to your parents or to school or whatever the Hell you do. I mean re-" I started but a loud crash above us stopped me.

Hot tears filled my eyes. "My parents are dead. I'm alone in this chaos." A shiver ran down my spine as the crash split through the sensitivity of my ears.i cringed, looking up.

I looked down as I fell. Oh great. Two people below me. As I landed, I nearly hit some kid.

I jump back and pull the kid out of the way. The guy look about my age and crazed. "Look kid I think we should bolt if we'd like to live. Like right now." I say looking at the guy on the ground who was just getting up. I look up and see some others... Falling out of the broken glass. Great. Just what I needed. "Come on!" I pull the kid over to the side.

"Wait! The man! Help him!" I shouted as it pulled the other way. "Leave no man of value behind." I didnt have much strength( so the reporter lady was half dragging me. I whimpered.

"Ungh." I manged to get to my back as one grabbed my leg. I kick it as hard as I could.

I groan and roll my eyes. "Kid if you can help go. I couldn't help even if I wanted." I say motioning to my belly. I let go and push him toward the man. "But hurry the f--- up!" I say walking backwards.

"Yeah. Im about to get eaten but besides that Im doing f---in PEACHY!" I scrambled to my feet and walked over to the pregnant girl.

I had backed into an alleyway and saw both boys coming into towards me. Behind them those things were almost withering where they layed. "Look guys talk fast. I'm Juniper and this is Alex." I say pointing to my belly again. "And who the Hell are you two?" I ask quickly because I wanted to get into a normal place; perferably a hospital.

I crossed my arms. "I'm Jake. Jake Weston." I eyed her. "The hospitals are probably crawling with those monsters, too. So, heh, you're baby may need a safe haven or something."

"Im Nicholas Miles. Call me Nick." I crouched in front of herand spoke to her stomach. "Hiya Alex."

I slap Nicholas away from my belly. "Don't do that. I get it too much at home, I don't need strangers doing it too. And nice to meet you both, but frankly I think we should get me to that safe haven Jake was talking about. Or at least out of this alley."

I went silent. I bit down on my lip, pondering a way to get Juniper to the Safe Haven. If it was 1.4 miles away, and we were to go by foot, erghh. Maybe a half hour to one hour. "The safe haven is 1.4 miles thataway." I pointed east. "Half hour, hour tops on foot."
