I dashed upstairs, and ruffled through the duffel bag. I pulled out a nice outfit; Dark blue skinny jeans, black low heels, and a nice dark purple t-shirt. Over that, I wore a solid white leather jacket. It was thin with no pockets or zippers. I put $75 in my purse, along with a credit card, a pen, a notepad, my cell phone, a hair brush and some Tic Tac candies. T brushed my hair and put it in a neat ponytail, then went into Alayna's room. "We're headed to town. We're going to look for some jobs, maybe even at a car for me." Alayna smiled. "Good luck!" She called as I made my way downstairs to Michael.
-
I nodded. "Job hunting." I said, grimacing. "Mum said it was the worst part of growing up." I sighed. "Well, I'll see you outside the front door in five minutes."
-
"Well," I said, starting to think harder about this. "Maybe we should give it more time. How about an hour? Text me if you find an opening. I think I'm gonna go car hunting. I could definitely use a vehicle of my own." I said, walking out the door and sitting down in the passenger seat of Michael's car.
-
I started up the car, drove to an ice cream parlor, and parked next to the curb. "Let's meet back here in an hour. Hopefully, if we're lucky, we'll have jobs and you'll have a car." I kissed the top of her head. "I'll see you later," I said.
-
I smiled and waved, parting ways. But I turned back around and entered the ice cream parolor.
What the heck? I thought to myself.
Nobody's here to tell me to do differently. -
I walked back out, smiling and enjoying a delicious cone of chocolate ice cream as I walked downtown.
-
I walked down the sidewalk, looking in the windows of the shops. "Hello there son; anything I can do for you?" I stopped, and smiled. "Do you happen to have a few job openings?" "How much is a few?" "Two, sir." The man thought for a moment. "Come inside, young man, maybe we'll be able to talk something through."
-
As I strolled downtown, I popped into a little store. "Excuse me ma'am, but to you happen to know where I could find a car dealership around here?" I asked her, since I was having no luck. She smiled, "Indeed! Keep walking, then turn on the first left." I thanked her and rushed on. Sure enough, there was a dealership!
-
I followed the man in, and was surprised by what I saw. "Is this...sir, is this a recording studio?" "James Albert." James held out his hand. "M-Michael." "Michael, this is a studio for nobodies to make their mark on the world. We take in and pay young adults to come in and either create their own music or sing origionals." I grinned. "Sir, I think this is the perfect thing for us." Mr. Albert smiled. "Come in early tomorrow afternoon, and have you and your friend sing a little. We'll pay you by the hour, the ammount depending on how good you two are." I shook his hand, unable to not grin. "Thank you, Mr. Albert, you won't regret this!"
-
I wandered around for a bit, until the perfect think caught my eye. It was a shiny blue sports car. Fairly tall, but shining, long, and it could be used for multiple people. I blushed to think, even a family car. A man saw my longing gaze and came over. "How much is this car, sir?" I asked him, hopfully. (how much should it be, do you think?)
-
(woohoo! The post I made above gave 100 posts even! This makes 101!)
-
(YAY! 102! Hmm....$6500?)
-
(*knock knock* Is Lexi home?)
-
(Sorry about that. Dinner, back.)
Longingly, i looked up at the man. "How much is it, sir?" I asked him, praying it would be less than 10,000. 'It's $6,000," he told me, smiling. i smiled winningly and said, "Could I talk you down?" -
(^__^ welcome back!)
I walked out of James Albert's recording studio, and looked at more of the shop windows, searching for the birthday present for Perry. I see an antique jewelry shop, with a beautiful necklace in the window. I walk in, and go up to the counter, smiling. "Can I help you, young man?" A woman, around my mum's age, smiled at me. "Yes, could you please tell me how much that necklace is? The one in the window." She grinned. "Of course dear. It's a beauty isn't it?" "Yes, she is," I muttered, thinking of Perry.
