One of the men opened the case while the other talked. "Our plan to prevent the corruption of the dictator is to go back in time and stop him from being born completely. In order to do this, we have created a few different time traveling devices." Inside the case there were three different types of accessories, a watch, a locket necklace, and a rectangular object that looked like a small phone. "Take your pick."

Her eyes widened as she looked at the items. "B-back in time?"

The speaking man shrugged. "It's the best way to prevent the current state of our area. Assassination of the man as of right now is much to difficult. Best to take him out before he exists."
Arthur grinned, grabbing the watch. "How does this work?" -
She gently removed the locket from the case, looking at the man for an answer to Arthur's question.
(sorry, the internet cut out) -
(It's fine, it happens.)
"For the locket, open it up. Inside there's a tiny touch screen where you can-it'd be better if I could just show you. May I?" The man held out his hand to receive the locket. -
(:D Glad you're not upset)
She nodded and handed him the necklace. -
(Yes I'm very upset because I had to go a minute without a reply to a soap and I almost died of boredom. xD Why would I be?)
He took the locket and opened it, taking her hand and pressing her thumb to the screen. It scanned her fingerprint. He dropped her hand. "Sorry. It'll only respond to your touch now. It's better that way." The touch screen went black for a moment, then turned a variation of colors, lighting up the room with a bright image of the current time, rapidly changing. "Simply say the day, month, and year you'd like to arrive in. If you don't say a specific time, you'll be transported to 12:01 AM."
He turned to Arthur. "Same for your watch. Use your thumbprint, too." -
(xD I dunno, some people get mad)
She allowed her finger to be scanned and such. "It's fine." Her eyes widened at the colors. "How did you get ahold of these?" -
(I feel like I'm just randomly making this stuff up. If it sounds stupid I'm sorry I didn't have a plan. xD)
"There are some inventors who attend the meetings. They built them for us. And as for the money, you'll need that for your journeys in time travel. Just because you go back in time, doesn't mean you aren't human anymore. You'll still need food, a place to sleep..."
Arthur scanned his thumb and quickly shouted a date. He disappeared. -
(it's okay. That's what a soap is!! :D)
She closed her eyes and sighed. This was going to be a unique adventure. She turned to the men. "So how do we do this?" -
(Stupid stuff?)
Arthur reappeared a moment later, right behind Kyra. "You're cute when you sleep," he whispered almost silently in her ear, then returned to listening to the men.
The first man cleared his throat. "Well, we were planning on assassination of the dictator's mother-"
"Which is a bad idea."
"It might be necessary."
"No it's not." The other man said. "We were planning on you attending a certain party the dictator's father threw the night before he met the dictator's mother and they... made the start of the man who is our current leader. Your job is to distract the two so that they never meet." -
(xD No, making it up as you go)
Her face turned every shade of red at his comment.
She nodded, face still pink. "Okay." -
(Oh, okay.)
The men didn't notice the sudden color change on Kyra's face. Arthur smirked.
"Anyway," the first man paused, pulling a gun from his pocket, "you might need this. Just in case things don't go as planned and you need to assassinate her." -
Yup.
She bit her lip and nodded. She nudged Arthur. "You take it, I wouldn't know how to use it."
