Ive got a little of each...My plots:
1: After a nuclear war, a survivor leaves their massive bunker to find their father, who left to help a cit yon the surface. Along the way, they meet another survivor, who is a badass. The second survivor agrees to help the first search for their father and teach them how to survive. You could throw in a love story if you want.
2: On another world, theres this massive ring, nobody has figured out what is it for. One day, the ring starts turning, and a portal opens and a group of humans steps through. Some things happen, and the team gets killed execpt for one, but he is terrribly wounded. Who is taken in by a peaceful/caring inhabitant.
