I don't like sharing anything with my parents. I'm paranoid of them not accepting me. But they know. They know I love anime and that I have that soft spot for that thing where the male 'monos' hug each other. My parents of course know I like shounen ai and yaoi. ((they don't know about the hard stuff but they know about the mushy stuff)).
It doesn't bother them. Sometimes they even say "Wow, they seem so happy." Or "Ay, que tierno!". I'm guessing that since Mexico just recently began passing all these things to legalize gay marriage and stuff, they've figured that they have to get used to that thing where men hold hands, not guns. And when their daughter begins liking those things, they figure that they can yell all they want, but it can't change things.
In short.. I guess my parents just don't mind anymore. With all the changes in the world in the gay community and with some family members even getting married with someone of the same sex, it doesn't matter to them. Then my parents don't see the negative (if any) thing with me liking yaoi, because it's just expresses something natural that can happen to any pair of people.
So pretty much my parents don't give s---.
