  i am a huge lennon fan and beatle fan and he wrote my fave song evr "imagine" but i also love the beatles and icant decide if he was better on his own or with them

  Well, John Lennon probably had the best solo work of all the Beatles, and the Beatles probably wouldn't have been even half as good as they were without Lennon. Let's just call the man a genius and leave it at that.
