Don't get me wrong, I love most movies, but usually when it comes down to it, the book is better. There are some movies that are just as good as the book, but are there any that actually surpass the book? What do you think?
Sub question: What are some movies that were way worse than the books?
Psh, the HTTYD movies are waaaay better than the books. Of course I love the books too and there's more of them, but the movies (and TV episodes!) don't even compare in terms of gloriousness. 🤗
Also I'm slightly biased here, but the LOTR movies (in my opinion) are better than the books, but that's only because I absolutely cannot stand Tolkien's writing style.
On the other hand, Narnia is a prime example of movies that aren't even close to as good as the books. The first two were okay and I actually really enjoy them, but the Dawn Treader movie absolutely disgraced one of the most powerful books in the series.
That is so true! (We really should talk more often :D )
Httyd movies are significantly way better.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is by far the best movies based off a book. And while I actually like the books themselves, the movies are totally awesome.
Yes!! Love Narnia books! I did like the first movie, but was disappointed with the others. Especially Prince Caspian, which in my opinion, totally betrayed the book and characters.
