  1. What is the degree of the offense?
  2. Is this a first time offense for that type of offense. But by degree but by specific type ( ie dr#g, th#ft, intim#cy, assualt)?
  3. What is offenders age?
  4. What is the level of the offense?
  5. Criminal history. Add 1 to value for a violent offenses, se# offenses or offenes involving weapons. Misdemeanor Lvl C 1, MB 3, MA 4, Felony C and D 6, F A and B 7. Do not count non-violent felonies over 25 years old and no misdemeanors over 20 years old. Convictions 10 years or older subtract 1 from their total (even if this makes their value 0).
  6. These are aggravating and mitigating circumstances, which will be listed in the opening informative paragraphs. Another question or even another 2 will be relegated for this purpose where a greater modifer is called for. A postive number indicates aggravating factors where a negative indicates mitigating. If there are none of these the factor will simply be zero. A +1 is not included here but can be found 2 bquestiona from this one.

  19. Did any prior offenses involve possession of a weapon or involve a violent felony or both?
  20. Is this a 1st or 2nd degree homicide?
  21. Was it 1st degree murder or aggravated homicide
  22. Value: Mis C 1, M A or B 2, Fel C or D 4, Fel A or B 5. Add 1 for viloent offenses or s#x offenses. Do not add more than +1 to 2 separate offenses of the same type or +3 to both types combined. Use full value for current charge or convictions not older than 5 years. -1 for those more than 5 years old. Don't count charges more than 15 years old unless they are a violent felony and don't count those older than 20 years. All offenses that are the same as another (repeat offenses) add +2. If it is class C misdemeanor that is a repeat add +1. If the value is a negative total dont count it. Total the value of your history and find below.
  23. Are there other charges which could possibly increase the sentence. Each that is of equal value to the most serious is given a value of 4. For every level lower decrease by 1. Count the 2nd count at full value. Those after and up to the 5th count at half value (round up). Those beyond that count at 1/4 value (round these down). Also count all class C misdeanors at half their normal value arrived through this process. If the value of a charge goes to below one do not add to total.
